Seth Thomas Aitken

Worcester, Massachusetts

Seth grew up in Holden and Paxton. He graduated from Wachusett Regional High School where he played football and threw shot-put while also remaining active in the arts and theater. After graduating from Wachusett, Seth attended Syracuse University on an ROTC scholarship where he earned his degree in Industrial Design as well as a commission in the United States Army as a Second Lieutenant.  Upon graduation, Seth attended the Army Engineer Officer’s Basic Course, after which he reported to South Korea to take charge of a platoon of soldiers in the 82nd Engineer Company close to the storied De-Militarized Zone (DMZ).  Seth spent fourteen months leading soldiers on missions across the Korean peninsula and returned home in 1998 to become the Executive Officer of an Army Unit at the Navy Seabee Base on the Gulf Coast of Mississippi.

Following Active Duty, Seth transferred his commission to the Army Reserve and ultimately returned to his native Massachusetts where things just seem to make more sense.

Seth attended law school at Roger Williams University School of Law in Bristol, Rhode Island and upon joining the Massachusetts Bar, was sworn in as an Assistant District Attorney for Bristol County.  Serving in some of the busiest criminal courts in the Commonwealth, New Bedford, Fall River and Attleboro, Seth quickly developed a reputation with judges and fellow attorneys for his skill handling and trying cases.

In 2013, Seth decided to join his father, Tom Aitken, in practice in Worcester. Tom had been serving Worcester County’s legal needs for more than thirty-five years and together, Tom and Seth began to develop a very busy general practice to address an even broader array of legal issues.

In September 2014, Tom and Seth joined respected criminal attorney and former Worcester ADA, Steve Power along with noted real estate and civil attorney Mel Chacharone. Their new firm, Aitken, Chacharone and Power, P.C. has been poised ever since to offer professional aggressive, straightforward advice and representation to folks in Worcester County who need a great lawyer.
